Who are these courses for?
Doctors, nurses, midwives, pharmacists, physiotherapists and other allied health professionals working in, or moving to, the UK. Courses cover professional standards, communication, clinical safety, starting an NHS job and career development.
Can I use a course after an incident or complaint?
Yes. Many people take a course to reflect after an incident, complaint or difficult appraisal. No course can guarantee the outcome of any process. Regulators look for genuine insight and sustained change, so your reflection must be written in your own words.
I have been referred to my regulator. What should I do first?
Take advice from your medical defence organisation, trade union or legal representative before you submit anything.
Which regulator covers my profession?
Doctors: GMC, with hearings run by the MPTS. Nurses, midwives and nursing associates: NMC. Physiotherapists and other allied health professionals: HCPC, with hearings run by the HCPTS. Pharmacists: GPhC. Dentists: GDC.
